OSHA 30
The First Ten Hours - OSHA 10
We structure our OSHA 30 courses so the first 10 hours are an OSHA 10. This offers a more diverse mix of students with both entry level workers and supervisory level wokers in the same class.
The Next 20 Hours are the OSHA 30 Upgrade Portion
After the OSHA 10 portion, the next 20 hours in our OSHA 30 courses are designed to upgrade the course from an OSHA 10 to an OSHA 30. This provides opportunities for prior OSHA 10 students to upgrade to an OSHA 30 with only 20 additional hours rather than having to take the OSHA 10 portion over again. (Must be within 180 days and with same instructor - as per OSHA program standards)
This is the section designed for supervisors, and we get to spend a lot of time learning about health and safety practices - in a fun interactive way of course.
Required Training - 12 Hours
1 HR | Introduction to OSHA (also in OSHA 10)
2 HR | Managing Safety and Health (new to OSHA 30)
1 HR | Walking and Working Surfaces Including Fall Protection (also in OSHA 10)
2 HR | Exit routes, Emergency Action Plans and Fire Protection Plans (1 HR in OSHA 10)
2 HR | Electrical (1 HR in OSHA 10)
1 HR | PPE (also in OSHA 10)
2 HR | Material Handling (new to OSHA 30)
1 | Hazard Communication (also in OSHA 10)
Elective - 10 Hours
Same Electives as OSHA 10 - Only we can go a little deeper or choose new ones if they were already covered sufficiently in the 12 hours of required training.
Optional - 8 Hours
In the OSHA 30, we have 8 total hours of Optional Training Topics - 6 more than in the OSHA 10. Because these can be anything health and safety related, this is where the instructor can go deep or explore other areas of health and safety, including safety inspections, accident investigation, building health and safety programs or industry specific topics.
