All OSHA 10/30 courses are built upon Required Topics, Elective Topics and Optional Topics. We present all the OSHA 10 material in a Tree Care Industry context and select Elective and Optional Topics that we believe are most relevant to the entry level tree worker. 

Here are some details to highlight how we approached tailoring this course to the tree care industry: 

• We've expanded on Fall Protection to focus on fall protection in tree care, especially as it relates to climbing operations. 

• The Ergonomics module is a brief module that introduces concepts and then applies them to tree work. 

• Machine guarding concepts are explored in a fun way using AI Generated Rube Goldberg Machines and we examine the role of machine guarding in chainsaw operations and chipper operations. 

• In the Health and Safety Programs module, we also spend time on ANSI Z133. Because...after all..."The Z" is the single best condensed resource we have in the tree care industry for identifying Hazards and Control Measures (the backbone of any safety program). 

• We also delve more into gear inspection for tree care equipment, examine several manufacturer's checklists and discuss how to conduct inspections.
